Description

TUI BLUE Fleesensee hotel is in a fantastic location right on the Fleesensee in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District. With 156 modern rooms and suites await those wanting to relax in the spacious BLUE® Spa, actively explore the Mecklenburg Lake District by land or water, or play a scenic round of golf.

The hotel is looking for a trained Chef de Partie who will be part of the hotel’s kitchen team. You will run and oversee your kitchen specialty station from cooking preparation up to the presentation of the quality dishes.

Your role as Chef de Partie will include:

  • Preparation of all kinds of dishes in the cold kitchen for the evening buffet
  • Assisting the Executive Chef in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends
  • Developing new ways of dish presentation, new styles of service including serving of food and dishes
  • Cooking to the expected high standard, quickly and efficiently
  • Assembling and dismantling the buffet dishes as well as checking the offer and presentation during service times
  • Goods receipt, focusing on kitchen productivity such as speed and food quality control
  • Responsible for the safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards in the working station and food storage areas
  • Maintaining adequacy of stocks by ensuring orders are placed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring proper waste control is practised
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
  • Ensure that all hotel guests and non-residents enjoy the best experience possible
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 year’s experience working as a Chef
  • Knowledge of best and latest cooking practices
  • Possess team spirit, good collaboration and has ability to multitask and can work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools and processes
  • Reliable and resilient
  • With Excellent time management skills
  • Confident and smart appearance
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Required language skills German B1, other languages an advantage

  • Sunday and public holiday surcharges i. hv 20%
  • Working time 8 hours a day
  • Early shift 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
  • Late shift 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
  • Participation in German courses in the hotel
